Turner Free Library celebrated National Poetry Month by holding a poetry contest during the month of April. We accepted original poetry written by our patrons for three age categories: Kids (up to sixth grade), Teens (seventh to twelfth grade), and Adults (ages 18+).
The library received a wonderful array of poems from community members. The poems were on display for several weeks at Turner Free Library's Main Floor, but we wanted to continue to share the lyrical works of our patrons even after the display ended. The library created a PDF of the poetry that can be opened and downloaded by anyone who clicks on this link. Please feel free to peruse these poems and share them widely! We are very proud of the wordsmiths who participated in the contest. It is a privilege and a joy to read the creative works of our patrons!
